ROLAND Plastics and Electronic Terminations are to present their strong pairing at a major defence exhibition later this year.
The two firms have secured a position at the Defence Vehicle Dynamics (DVD) event, which takes place in November.
Assuming no further Covid implications to live events, the two companies will be featured at the Off Road section of the event, alongside such brands as BAE Systems, General Dynamics, KMW, Nexter and Rheinmetall.
The timing of the event is perfect for RPL and ETL, given a strong year for the development of their products specifically focused at military and defence.
Roland Plastics will be displaying DURAPATH, PORTAPATH and TECNOTILE, along with other plastic military products.
Its DURAPATH product is used to create permanent roadways, allowing access to vehicles across particularly challenging and rugged terrain. The ground stabilisation benefits of DURAPATH allow quick and easy laying of roads for heavy equipment.
PORTAPATH will be used on the exhibition stand and demonstrated around the site to create pedestrian walkways across grassed areas and other rugged terrain.
Based in Wickham Market, Suffolk, ETL has a long pedigree delivering parts and products to UK armed forces.
Barrie Hayter, Business Development Executive, said: “Having now had our DURAPATH product codified with Nato Stock Numbers, this is a great event to showcase how the product can be used in a military environment.”
DVD2020 will bring together industry and Defence in the land equipment sector to develop ideas and generate greater understanding of technologies, capabilities and requirements. DVD2020 is jointly sponsored by the Army and DE&S Land Equipment, and recognises the capability role taken on by the Army as part of Defence Transformation.
